Data, Reporting & Platforms for Regulated Industries

Regulatory reporting, data and the systems underneath.

From regulatory requirement to working system.

Acrogen works with banks, insurers, superannuation funds and other regulated financial-services organisations on the problems that sit between what a requirement says and what the data, systems and controls can actually deliver.

We combine hands-on regulatory reporting experience inside a major Australian bank with two decades of software and data engineering, so the people who interpret the requirement can build what implements it.

01 - The Machinery Underneath

The report is rarely the real problem.

A regulatory report is the last step in a long chain. Behind every reported value sit a regulatory definition, an interpretation, source systems, transformations, business rules, validation logic, controls, exceptions and the people who own them.

When a number is wrong, late or hard to explain, the cause is almost always somewhere in that chain. Fixing the report treats the symptom. The next submission fails in the same place.

We work on the machinery underneath: how information moves through your environment, where controls actually operate, where problems originate, and how technology can make all of it more transparent and defensible.

The report is rarely the real problem.

02 - What we do

Two practices, one bridge.

Primary practice

  • Business rules & validation
  • Reconciliation
  • Lineage & traceability
  • Data-quality controls
  • Remediation
  • Reporting platforms

Delivery Capability

Platform Engineering

Systems built for environments where traceability, control and reliability matter.

  • Regulatory data pipelines
  • Integration & APIs
  • Spreadsheet (EUC) replacement
  • Exception & workflow tools
  • Controlled portals
  • Secure modernisation

Questions we are typically brought in to answer

  1. Why did this reported value move, and can we prove it?
  2. Which data, systems and controls does this new collection actually touch?
  3. Our data-quality dashboard is green. Why did the regulator still find errors?
  4. The control exists on paper. Can we show it operated?
  5. Where does this field really come from, and who owns it?
